FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Azcore?
Azcore is the control app for an Azqari-powered property. It talks to your home hub so you can manage rooms, scenes, and devices from your phone. The app is preconfigured for the property — you don't add URLs or tokens.
Do I need internet to use it?
At home on Wi-Fi: No. The app connects directly to Home Assistant on your local network. Away from home: Yes, if a remote connection is configured. That requires internet.
How do I access a room?
Open the Rooms tab, choose a room, and enter that room's PIN. Your access stays until you log out or switch to another room.
What can I control?
Lights (multi-gang switches per room), TV remote with app shortcuts, and room-level access with individual PINs per space.
Why does it say "Connect to [WiFi name] for faster connection"?
You're using the remote connection instead of the local one. Connect to home Wi-Fi for faster, local control — and so it works without internet.
Is my data sent elsewhere?
No. The app talks only to your Home Assistant instance. Usage stays local. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
"Connecting or disconnected" / Controls don't work
- At home: Make sure your phone is on home Wi-Fi. If it still fails, Home Assistant may be off or unreachable.
- Away: You need internet. If a tunnel is configured and it still fails, the tunnel or Home Assistant may be down.
Lights or TV don't respond
- Wait a few seconds and try again. The app queues commands and retries.
- Pull to refresh on the Home tab if things look stuck.
- Confirm you've entered the correct room PIN.
Wrong room / I need another room's PIN
- Use Rooms → select the room → enter that room's PIN. House PINs differ from individual room PINs.
App was working, then stopped
- Check Settings → Connection. Toggle Wi-Fi off/on or move closer to the router.
- If away from home, ensure you have internet.
